In below chart we show the average success and efficiency percentage of first three teams in 2022 Men WCH; Italy, Poland and Brazil; after different types of receptions. It is clear that if we have better reception our chance to get point in attack will increase, so maybe we can say that good reception is half of point because as you see in below chart there is huge difference between efficiency of attack after good reception (52%) and perfect reception (52%) with attack after poor reception (24%) for the first three teams of 2022 Men WCH.
One important information that we can find from figure 2.6 is that there is very little difference in top teams performance in attack after perfect reception (success: 64% and efficiency:52%) with attack after good reception (success: 62% and efficiency: 52%). So it means that if we set our main goal in reception to pass the ball with suitable trajectory inside and little right side of attack zone (almost 1.5 far from net and 1 meter far from middle of court, between good and perfect reception) our receivers will feel more comfortable and also we will avoid over pass.
